Hi! I used to have a paid personal Dropbox account, until I outgrew the 3TB of storage space. I downgraded to a free Dropbox account and started storing my files with a different provider. As a renewal of my subscription with this other provider is coming up mid-June, I was wondering if you are planning on implementing larger personal plans in the future? Ideally I'd love a package that has somewhere between 6 to 8TB.
Switching to a professional account is not an option, because:
- I already use a professional account from the company I work for, you can only use 1 personal and 1 professional account in the Dropbox software at the same time, and I don't want to upload my personal files to my company's account
- a professional account requires several licenses (3, I believe), while I only need 1
Therefore, I would like to suggest to implement the option to purchase a larger personal plan with more storage space than the current 3TB (of course the plan with 3TB should still exist for users who don't need more than 3TB).

If there are photographers out there who need more space, consider Smugmug. [Removed as per Community Guidelines]
This link will get you a 1 time discount (until end of October to sign up, I believe) to try it if dropbox isn't working for photos. It is NOT a similar service to dropbox for storage of multiple kinds of files - simply photos and videos with great tools to view/manage. Hopefully dropbox will hear all of our requests and consider giving us options for more storage (and revenue to them!).

I'm a designer who owns a small home-based brand.
I use Dropbox for both personal and work files.
Having many heavy-weight graphic files takes up most of my storage space.
3TB is not enough space for me, yet the team plan is too expensive and too complicated for my needs (tried it in the past and didn't like it).
My suggestion is that you add another personal pro-plan that is somwhere in between: more storage, only 1 user, and a fair price.
Thanks :)

I'm a writer & nature photographer with an increasing need for storage. In the next year, I'll surpass my 3 TB storage space on the Individual Professional Plan and will need to expand my cloud storage or only partially backup my files to Dropbox.
As a self-employed individual, with no employees, I can't use the Business Dropbox Plan because it requires a minimum of 3 people.
I'd like to suggest that Dropbox create a plan for individuals that allows for storage needs beyond 3 TB. I suspect there are a lot of creatives doing media-heavy work that would appreciate it.
In addition, because Dropbox syncs with Synology NAS products, I bet there are many people who need extra cloud space and would take advantage of such a plan.

I'd like to see a plan for 500 GB in the $5/month range. The 2TB plan is more then a lot of us need. I do a lot of collobrative writing and 2TB is way too much space for what I need.

This is exactly what I need. I tried the Business Team account last night and it was a total disaster; constant popups every time I moved a file in or out of Dropbox. I want to shift all my cloud backup to Dropbox, but since 3TB is the maximum, I'll have to use another service.
I think Dropbox is leaving money on the table right now. A lot of individual users need more thyan 3TB these days.

This is not a product issue. It is a pricing issue. If it's too risky to go to unlimited, just get some tears with much higher volumes. SmugMug is able to offer unlimited storage for all Photos as well as an interface to actually be able to view and use the site for photos. Dropbox is fine for storing photos, what is terribly difficult to manage them and even see a preview of what the photo is.

Hey,
I've come to a problem - I've run out of space and I already use a Professional plan (3TB of space). My next step would be to have a Team plan in order to gain more space (5TB), but I have no team to share this with. I use Dropbox on daily basis for everything, but mostly to send files to my clients and no space on a Dropbox is a huge problem for me. I am willing to pay for extra storage feature for Invididual plan.

I work as a freelance editor and director and need to share big folders with clients for short periods of time. The 3TB I have in my professional account is way to little. Upgrading to teams is not an option since it's just me. I would love the oppertunaty to upcrade my storage and keep my professional account.

Dropbox, please listen to your customers. Your competition is offering 10TB plans for less that you are charging for 3. I don't mind paying a little more for your service as long as it remains competitive...but it's not and hasn't been for some time. I don't need a professional plan with multiple licenses, collaboration tools or 3rd party apps. I just need dependable storage and I will start looking elsewhere if I need to.
