No access to old dropbox account. Last used probably 2 years ago..
I have tried to access today my old dropbox (looking for a copy of some old messages from over 10 years ago). Account was set up around 2008-2009 and I accessed this it last time approx 2 years ago....

Is this some new/recent policy from dropbox?
This account was frequently accessed up until 2014 and I maybe logged in there 3 or 4 times since then.. 2 years ago files were still intact.

Dropbox StaffHey Sebastian! This isn’t a recent policy; if a Dropbox account hasn’t been used for more than a year, then it’s subject to deletion, as Mark stated above.
Since you’re being prompted to enter the one-time security code though, I’d say you can try contacting our support team directly (with these steps) to see if there’s something more they can do on their end.
