Where is "Dropbox for Work?"

I used to have a Dropbox for Work that accompanied my Personal Dropbox account. Where is it now? There is no way to access it!

  • You'll need to log in to that separate account and then link them up - or make sure they are both logged in via the desktop app.

Thanks Mark, but that's what I've been doing once in a while since I lost my access to my Dropbox for Work (which seems to have changed to Team account).

Every time I type in the credentials and click Sign In to sign into my team account, a message appears saying "Sign in to a Team account."

As an everyday user of Dropbox Personal, I haven't been able to access my Dropbox for Work content for a long time, so much so that I've forgotten what I had in there, until recently when I needed to find a project of mine which couldn't be found anywhere else and it is very likely it is up there 🤔

Did it get lost in translation from Dropbox for Work and its new substitute, Team? (I enter my email and password correctly)

Was this a paid Dropbox Business team account, or one of the old free team accounts from years ago?

If it was one of the free team accounts, Dropbox ended support for free teams back in January of 2022 and all existing free teams were disbanded. The account would still exist as a regular account, but only if you've been accessing it regularly. If it still exists, you should be able to sign in with the email address and password for that account on the Dropbox website.

How low ago did you last access the account?
