My account got disabled

 Hello!

I've been using dropbox for almost a year now. But just 5 days ago, my account got locked, i've never received any mail of this whatsoever. I've tried contacting support but i haven't received a reply yet, i'm too impatient because all my projects for school, work and private files were saved on there (I work on my laptop and I deleted them on there). 

I don't know if this helps but i had the payed version of dropbox but the payments suddenly stopped coming, could that be it? Because again I received no mail on that whatsoever. Or could this be a ban that was put on my account for some reason? Cause i'm running out of idea's and since all my files that i need for school are on there, i'm having a horrible week.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

      You'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for sign in issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.

    My account is disabled by DB. How can I get the files that I kept in my account 

    back?

      Hi Kenny; Your account was closed, possibly due to a violation of Dropbox's Terms and Conditions or extended inactivity, possibly exceeding one year.

      In any case, I believe the best avenue for assistance would be to reach out to Dropbox support via www.dropbox.com/support

      They may be able to help you with the issue

    If your account got locked its been closed by Dropbox for breaching its T&C's - that would also be why payments stopped. 

     

    I'm afraid nobody here can help. The only people who can help are Dropbox support via www.dropbox.com/support - you may need to be logged out or using an incognito window to get options.

      Had to be a monetary issue because that would be THE ONLY reason this company would take such action! They don’t care if your life is being ruined and preventing you from getting jobs because somebody is sharing explicit photos through dropbox links!! That’s OK as long as the customer is paying

        Sadly enough that coudlnt be it. Cause the bank send me a message saying the payment Came though (used MasterCard)

      I seriously don't know what lead to the ban, the only controversial stuff i had on there was about history (i study history and Ai Dev).

      Ill try to contact support once again but im seriously running out of ideas

        Almost a week later and i still haven't received a reply from support. Each time i mention my other accounts e-mail adress they start ghosting me.

        I just figured out that they charged me a week before the 'lock' ( anual plan). I check tos but nothing States that i did anything wrong, the only thing i did was share a folder which at the end of the day didnt have any copyrighted music on it.

        It's honestly insane. Never received a mail, cant even login to check my pending tickets. I feel like im actually talking to brick wall, the Indian scammers who called me this morning have a better customer support.

        The error message: Sorry, this account is disabled.
