Installed Dropbox on a new computer but it shows a free account when I have a subscription
Just started using a new Mac - logged into my old Mac and it shows the proper 3TB account... I log into the same account with the same credentials and it won't let me sync, saying my 2GB dropbox account is full...

You're likely signing in to two different accounts. Go into Dropbox Preferences on the old Mac and see what email address it lists. Make sure you're using that same email on the new Mac.
If you're absolutely certain you're using the same account on both, sign in to the Dropbox website with those credentials and see what plan is shows on your Plan page. Whatever it shows there is correct.

So I think I've figured out the problem... I am signing into the right account but DB interprets Gmail email address differently. I use the email First.Last@gmail.com as my email address where first and last are my first and last name of course. Gmail interprets this as simply FirstLast, omitting the dot in between and creating the email as FirstLast@gmail.com. I put in First.Last in DropBox since that's my actual email and apparently DB once upon a time created a free 2GB account with the email first.last ... If I log into DB as actually using FirstLast, it works fine !
Another  !!!
