Lost access to Family Account and family room

I deleted family room folder and lost access to family account. I had the admin remove me from the share with a view to reinviting me.

The reinvite was sent, but I am told I am already a member. I go into PLANS and it says I'm basic.

There is no way to get back into the family account or to get an invite.

This is probably some of the worst software I've seen in my 50 odd years in the industry.

 

QUESTION: How do I delete myself completely from family account so I can be sent an invite and accept it???

    Hi X3, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

     

    It shouldn't be possible to delete the Family Room folder, as it's a permanent folder for all Family members, so it sounds like you were removed from the Family first and then lost access to that folder. 

     

    Could you confirm your plan again by pasting a screenshot of what you see on this page? Are you certain that you're not logged into a different account than the one that was invited?

      Hi Jay,

       

      I can confirm it was BASIC Plan.

      Someone on Dropbox Chat did something to reset the invitation and I was able to rejoin the FAMILY PLAN. It had sent me back to BASIC. I achieved that by, I think, managing to get out of the family room share and deleting the folder. Regardless, I was back to basic and having been sent an invite to join / rejoin it could NOT get past the message ...you are already a member (even though the PLAN was BASIC). So whatever the support person did, allowed me to bypass the....you are already a member.... barrier and to rejoining the FAMILY which I have done.

      An afternoon of frustration.
