Hi avikerem, this might be the same email according to Gmail, however, for Dropbox, these would be two entirely different accounts.

Please attempt to login to Dropbox using the other email address with the dot in it to see if this is another account you own, with files in it as well that you might not be aware of.

Please let me know if you require any further assistance.

Its one of two things avikerem - and thanks for the images, they really help!

Your paid account is NOT on the email you are logged in with (so check the email the notification came to) OR its a spam email.

      Dear Mark,

it is the same email address. Using hypothetical email address example just to clarify the point John.Dow@Gmail.com is the same Email address as JohnDow@Gmail.com

The . (dot) is parsed out by Gmail and does not effect the Gmail Address Name Server.

However your other point is convincing me that I am a victim of a scam and therefore for security reason I will cancel that Credit Card.

Thank you very much for your help
