I’d like one more detail before assisting further; when upgrading your daughter’s Dropbox account, did you do it via Google Play/iTunes or directly on www.dropbox.com?

Hello Nancy,
Thank you for your reply. We actually weren't trying to upgrade, we were just trying to download photos from one of her homeschool programs that using Drop Box to collect hundreds of photos. Somehow in the process of downloading, we must have selecting the free trial. Jen

Refunds are only issued where legally required: https://help.dropbox.com/plans/refund
However, best thing to do is contact support for help at www.dropbox.com/support.
