Hey Red Gerran, sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that it looks like your trial was indeed cancelled, but you'll get to keep the additional quota till the end of the trial period.

i signed up for the basic 30 day free trial plan a couple of days ago on my laptop.. not my phone, using my mastercard details but now want to cancel, i have followed the cancellation procedure but can't cancel it, i go to my aviator, settings, currant plan but cant' do anymore because current plan box which i spose to click on is greyed out, all i want is to cancel the subscription before the 30 days is up so i don't get charged yearly therefore after.

How do I cancel my free trial? The instructions tell you to click on Plan tab- this doesn't exist. The chatbot doesn't work and you can't access the help desk if you're not a paying customer. I've emailed for assistance but no reply. I don't have the ability to pay the £98 charge. My credit card company can't cancel the payment until it has been made. Closing the account doesn't seem to work either. Please help!

Hey Slick180, & Katie DSouza happy Monday, let's see what we can find together!
You mentioned a "Basic trial". Does that mean that you see your account as Basic when accessing your plan page?
If so, then keep in mind that the account might have already been downgraded, since Basic is our free plan. Is it possible that you have two Dropbox accounts, and not one?

- Slick1802 years agoExplorer | Level 3Hi Megan & thank you for responding, I did already have a Dropbox account but it was not under a free trial 30 day basic subscription, it is just free basic account, I ran out of space on the 2gb & had the option to use the free 30 day subscription trial which i set up with my debit MasterCard so I could get more space for downloads & knowing I could cancel at anytime..but now I do want to cancel I have followed the instructions path to cancel but can't..on my settings page I have 2 boxes, one is of my current plan.. the 30 day free subscription & it is greyed out & non accessible) & the other box is accessible to use by start a free trial, the non accessible current plan greyed out box is the one I'm trying to cancel but can't..so now I'm worried that when the subscription expires in about 26 days I'll get charged a yearly £98 sum which I can't afford to pay..I hope the information I've given has helped you in hopefully solving my issue & that there is a more easier way for me to cancel or if Dropbox could cancel my subscription for me direct, looking forward to your reply....Ricky (slick180)
