Why is my Documents folder in my Dropbox folder?

After many years using the same computer, we purchased a new one. There are many things different from the "old days".  I feel like a total newbie!   I somehow ended up with my documents folder in Dropbox.  And I don't use Dropbox.   Could someone please tell me how I can get my files out of dropbox and my documents folder back in File Explore where I've always had it?   I am leaving next week and I'd really like to be able to use my computer without these changes.  Thank you for any suggestions.

Hi Lindanew, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Do you know if you've activated the Dropbox Backup feature?

You can check this by viewing this page on your account.

This will help me to assist further!

Thank you for writing.  I checked the page and it says Backups  0 bytes  No files

Thanks for clarifying that for us Lindanew

Can you please send us a screenshot of what you're seeing on your computer so that we can have a visual too? Since you've not backed up any files or folders to Dropbox, I'm not quite sure about the issue you're facing, that's why I'm asking.
