Transfer files from another cloud
Hi. I want to know if there's a direct way to transfer all my files from OneDrive to Dropbox.
Hey there Anam - how are you today?
Assuming that you have those files on your computer you should be able to move or copy them inside your Dropbox folder - if you have installed our desktop app which is designed to watch your Dropbox folder and sync any files placed in the folder that is!
Your Dropbox folder is just like any other folder on your hard drive, but with syncing features.
To take advantage of Dropbox, move or copy files into the Dropbox folder. This will place the files into the Dropbox folder. Once Dropbox sees changes in the Dropbox folder, it automatically syncs the new changes to Dropbox servers and to any other computer linked to your account.
Note that you can also access your Dropbox online at https://www.dropbox.com
For more information on how to sync with Dropbox you check out our Dropbox tour.
Hope this information gets you going and please let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi Anam,
There is a way to directly transfer all your files from OneDrive to Dropbox which i have used for several times. I searched the internet and find a program named multcloud, which is the key. Just create an account of it and add both your OneDrive and Dropbox account to it, then set cloud transfer from OneDrive to Dropbox. It will finally manage to do what you want. https://www.multcloud.com/tutorials/copy-from-onedrive-to-dropbox-4125.html

If I transfer my files from Dropbox to OneDrive using MultCloud, can I then delete the files from Dropbox?
I have made the mistake in the past of copying files from my hard drive to Dropbox and then deleting the files on my hard drive--thinking they were safely stored on Dropbox--only to discover that deleting them from my hard drive simultaneously deletes them from Dropbox. So, clearly I don't understand how Dropbox (or cloud storage) works.
Given that, I'm worried that if I delete my files from Dropbox after copying them to OneDrive, I will lose the files on OneDrive.
Please advise.
Thank you.
