The app on my Mac device is stuck at "Syncing".
My previous problem was solved:
but I got a similar issue.
This time, Dropbox just says
Dropbox 205.4.5765
Syncing . . .
"View sync issues" in the avatar menu says
Personal
No issues
"File permissions" or "Fix hardlinks" didn't do anything. (https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Create-upload-and-share/My-desktop-app-is-stuck-at-syncing-and-I-need-help-with-the/td-p/405492 )
I've just paused and resumed. Then, Dropbox said "Syncing 8 files . . . " and then uploaded those files. Then, it returned to the "Syncing . . ." state.
I opened my Dropbox folder online. I then deleted some files locally and after several seconds the online versions disappeared. I edited a local text file and saw the online version change accordingly. So, sync itself is working.
Before doing all these things, I had just quit and relaunched the Dropbox app.
macOS 14.6.1
Hey @ryofurue, I'd be happy to help!
Could you send me a screenshot of the app's exact status as shown in your menu bar?
When you say quitting the app, do you mean signing out, by any chance? If not, could you try to sign out of the app, then back in?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

That fixed the problem. After logging in again, I found that Dropbox sync'ed two new files, both of which were a "conflicted copy" from my another machine.
So, here's the scenario which I guess led to this problem:
- I kept open the two files on one of my two machines.
- On the other machine, I modified the files and then logged out.
- Coming back to the first machine, I found the "Syncing . . . " freeze.
Step 2 created the conflicting files. So, what I should have done was, I should have closed the files on the first machine before moving to the second machine.
Thanks @Megan for your help!
