Photos uploaded not listed by creation date

We mainly use 2 smartphone to upload our photos in different personalised folders. The folders are OK but when we view the Photos category listed per months is a complete mess: most pictures are listed by date of upload and not by date of creation! Most surprisingly not all photos are listed in this wrong way: a lot of them are correctly shown by their creation date in their own months. This is insane..I read a topic about the lack of metadata, this means I have no way to catalogue the photos by their correct order? Or is there a procedure or tip I shall do? When I tried Dropbox before purchasing it I specifically uploaded some photos and no problem was found. I don't understand even how is possible that some are listed correctly and others not..for us it would be a game changer to keep using Dropbox..thanks

Hey DaniFati, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

Are you referring to the Photos tab in the Dropbox app?

How do the photos appear on this page?

And if you open the photos to preview them and choose to see the info for each photo, are you able to view the metadata that way?

    Keep me posted.

Thanks Hannah, yes I reger tl the photos tab in the mobile app (both Android and iPhone). On the page the photos appear as in the mobile app with the same random listing. The photos do not have the original creation date in their file info, neither in the smartphone used to upload it nor in any other device: the date shown is when the upload took place.

Hey DaniFati, sorry to jump in here and thanks for the clarification.

I'm not sure if this would help, but have you considered using our naming conventions and/or the multi-file organize feature perhaps?

Let me know if that would help with what you had in mind.
