Hi Dropbox Community, I’m experiencing an issue with video playback on a Dropbox-shared link in Chrome. Here’s what’s happening: When I open the link in Chrome, the video plays but intermittently freezes in the middle. However, when I view the same video link in Safari, it plays smoothly without any interruptions. My internet connection is fast, so I don’t think it’s a connectivity issue. I’ve tried disabling Chrome extensions, clearing my cache, and even adjusting hardware acceleration, but the issue persists in Chrome specifically. here's the format of my link: [removed] Has anyone else encountered this issue with Dropbox videos on Chrome, or is there any recommended solution?62Views1like7CommentsPhotos and videos display on wrong date on my iOS device
I have an issue where some of my videos and photos have been auto uploaded from my iPhone they have the correct date (2016 08) as the file name. But in my photo display as today’s date 2024 10 31, when you look at information on the files they also show the correct date. So why are these image showing in year 2024 month October? They should be 2016 in May (which the majority of the images and photos taken at the same time do).135Views0likes1CommentVideo files failing to open on Google and Safari through a shared link
I am trying to send two short movies to two colleagues but both are unable to open the file. One has Android Google and the film is greyed out and the other has this message 'Safari cannot open this page because the address is invalid'. In both cases I am using the share link. Any suggestions please.179Views0likes1CommentCannot open a link that was sent to me via email
I was recently sent a link to view a DropBox File. I logged in and created an sccount but whenever I press "open file", it brings me back to my Gmail Account to log in. When I log in to my gmail, I get brought back to my gmail account but cannot find the file anywhere. How do I view the file without having to log into my gmail account? If I do have to log into my gmail account, where do I find the file once I log into my gmail account? Note: I was not given permission to view the folder that the file was in, I was only given permission to view the file itself.307Views0likes3CommentsGreen checkmark with white background explanation
I have seen the official meaning: "A circle with a green border and a green checkmark means that a file was opened (directly or with a third-party application) and synced," but what does that mean in contrast to: "A solid green circle with a white checkmark means your file is synced and available offline"? If I want a set of files to be both available online and offline, shouldn't that result in a solid green icon? Why are most "A circle with a green border and a green checkmark" and only a couple solid green? I thought maybe it had to do with opening the file on the same device or perhaps opening it on another device, but it made no difference to which files are assigned a solid green background versus white. I'm very confused.716Views0likes4CommentsHow can I view all Dropbox files on the desktop app and have them not take up space?
New to Dropbox just downloaded the app, when installing it asked me to choose which Files I wanted to Sync to my pc. I don't have a lot of storage left on my PC so I selected none. I want to view all my dropbox files from the folder on my desktop. the same as I do with my ONEdrive or Google Drive these two don't take and space from my PC and I can view all the files I have there. Thank you Shahaf638Views0likes6CommentsI can't open a shared link - I receive a 400 error message.

Could you help me, please? I'm worry about it.626Views0likes5CommentsSync issues and errors opening files on new computer after installing Dropbox
Apparently my plan does not include any kind of support from Dropbox, so I have to ask the Community. I added Dropbox to a new computer and it does not seem to sync well. If I create a doc on another computer on Dropbox, I cannot access it on the new computer. I also cannot open any of my docs. I get an error message: "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file." I am not trying to copy a file, I am trying to open it. It also says "the cloud file provider has exited unexpectedly." Anyone know how to fix these problems?292Views0likes1CommentWhy are files shared with me opened through a web browser?
Why are files shared with me opened through a web browser? At the same time, the files that I created (Excel, Word) are opened using Windows (Microsoft Office 2016)? What should I do so that the files shared with me can be opened using desktop version of Microsoft Office?Solved655Views0likes3Comments
