New files I add to my Windows desktop app don't sync to the rest of my devices.

I have been a very basic DB user for years and just recently have a problem.  We have a DB account with 2TB.  We have three machines we use to access the DB account.  One is a MAC, one is a desktop pc (WIN11), and the third is a laptop (WIN10).

I generally have had no problem.  We create folders and upload files to DB and can access them with all three machines.

Just yesterday, I created a folder in DB and moved some files up into it using our desktop pc.   I verified that they were there on the desktop.

Since then they have not been visible or accessible using the MAC or the laptop!  I don't get it.

Is there some setting which is wrong?

Fyi, I have confirmed that they are all logged into the same DB account.

Help!

    Hi albireo13

Have you given them time to sync? Remember the folder on your machine is just that, a folder, so a move in to it is almost instant but if they are large files it takes time to upload.

Secondly do they appear online at www.dropbox.com ?

If not what does the Dropbox icon say on the Desktop PC? Is Dropbox even running?

If it IS running and they ARE online is Dropbox running on the other 2? And what does it say if you mouse over them?

t has been overnight already so lots of time.  In the past it has always been within a few minutes.

The folder and files do not appear in dropbox.com or in the other machines.

On the WIN machines I access Dropbox through File Explorer.  I have been doing this for years.

Dropbox is running on all machines.  I can access other files and folders.

Is there some sharing setting that got messed up?

Have you actually checked Dropbox is running though albireo13 ? The files and folders are just that they are folder on your machine like every other - Dropbox is just a folder on the machine like Desktop, Documents etc. So it is ALWAYS there.

The app needs to run, and you need to see it, on the status bar near the clock to have the syncing happen.

As I said - if it IS there what is it saying if you mouse over it.
