That tab is not related to Dropbox. It refers to the sharing functionality within Windows.
The invite said I had edit privileges. If I put a file in this folder, will it automatically share with other members?
Each member of a shared folder has a copy of the folder. Anything that happens within that folder is synced with all other members. If you have edit access and add a file, all other members will receive it.
