I get the message that my files might contain phishing content
I am trying to share a file and get the message "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity because your files might contain phishing content"
Relevant Facts:
1) File does not contain phishing content.
2) I haven't used dropbox for about a year, so I'm not over any limits.
3) File is legal content, legally obtained.
4) File is 22 MB.
No customer support except for paid subscriptions.
So I guess this is why I don't use dropbox.....

I tried to share a folder today and received the "We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement" notice, but can't figure out why.
I've had a look at the terms of service and can't see that I've done anything I shouldn't have done.
Also, have received nothing from Dropbox about it as well.
Any suggestions on how I resolve this?

You will need to contact Dropbox for assistance via www.dropbox.com/support and ask for help.

Hi Xanthocletes, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you clarify what type of files you're trying to share?
Do you have any other shared links or files on the account that could be triggering this message?
This will help me to assist further!

These are large PDFs, up to 20-30 MB.
- XanthocletesExplorer | Level 4
And no, I just tried one of them and that was enough to trigger the error.

Thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?

I am trying to share a folder with some friends but I am unable to do and sometimes i get this message (in spanish) We've interrupted your sharing activity because you tried to share a file that may contain malware
After check the folder in question i did not find any suspect file, so what can i do? How can I know which file may contain malware?
Thanks in advance

Hey nightcarlos, sorry to hear about this.
It sounds like your shared links may have been banned. How long have you been getting this error?
May we reach out via email to have a further look internally perhaps?

Hi @Walter, first of all, thanks for replying me.
To be honest, I am not sure from when I am getting the error, I just realized when I tried to share a folder yesterday.
Sure, we can continue via email or any other via to solve this issue.

DropBox PAID subscriber since 2010 (maybe earlier). Trying to share a folder and getting message: "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity because your files might contain phishing content." Note: There is NOTHING in the folder yet and the addresses of the two recipients are legitimate account DB holders. WTH?
Please fix this. - ahmedafatahNew member | Level 2

Hi, can anyone help us? The manager of the account is getting an error when he sends a Dropbox link video (Dropbox issue with sharing folders - phishing cont.). The recipient of the link will get an error message (That didn't work for some reason). We already sent an email and a ticket has been created but we are not getting any response or help form the support team.

Hey Julieta2! Thanks for nudging us here.
Does your admin receive this error message perhaps?
Can you send me the ticket number they received, so that I can take a look?

- JfelafelExplorer | Level 4Hello, I’m sharing files as I always do, but the people I share with cannot open them.
I received a pop up saying something about suspected phishing or inappropriate activity, but I’m sharing photos of musicians. Appreciate any tips as it is impacting my business.- MarkSuper User II
It sounds like your sharing capacity has been removed for some reason.
You need to contact Support at www.dropbox.com/support and ask them to check and remove the block.
- JfelafelExplorer | Level 4Thanks. Will try that

I am trying to share a pdf containing my CV why is it this hard to do that. It's nothing but text.
- MarkSuper User II
It could be another file or folder you've previously shared.
The only way to fix is via support at www.dropbox.com/support.
