How do I make a team shared sub-folder only accessible to a few team members?
Hi,
Our company uses DB as a server basically for all our company forms, clients folders, pictures, etc. We have a sub-folder that contains time cards & payroll info that I'd like to make accessib...

Somehow I figured it out. The Groups worked.
Have to say I am disappointed in Dropbox's user experience & interface, difficulty in using the online help, & this solution to what should be a popular feature for business clients. 😞 I've used & help develop a lot of software, & DB has a lot of room for improvement. Why they didn't structure things similar to how people are already used to using/interacting with other common software is beyond me.
This experience & another before this make me hesitant to even attempt to use the signature feature instead of paying for the Adobe we use. It also means I won't be upgrading any plans or services w/DB anytime soon.
Anyway, thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

Thanks for posting on our forum, CB131!
What you can do, in this case, is to restrict the access of this folder to the rest of the members. This way, only the users you want should be able to open it and see its contents.
Let me know if you need something else, though.

Thanks Nancy,
When I follow those instructions to restrict access - the 1st way leads me to who can access & it says everyone at our company but won't let me see individual members to remove. The 2nd way thru the admin console - when I hover over the name of the folder to click Manage - nothing pops up for me to click manage.
What do I do now?

Hey from me too CB131!
I feel like the perfect way for you to go on about it would be with Dropbox Groups.
Essentially, groups are an easy way to add and remove lists of people to your shared folders and make managing sharing easier.
Here is the relevant Help Center article. Want to take a look, and let me know if you have any questions?
