editable shared folder invitation but no desktop app

I was invited to a shared folder with permission to edit the files. However, due to the folder size, I am being told I would need to purchase a plan upgrade since I only have a free basic one. But ca...

    No, you can't. When you join a shared folder, the contents of that folder exists in your account, so it takes up space, and you need to have enough space for anything in your account.

     

     

    If you don't need edit access you can ask the owner to send you a shared link instead, which would allow you to view the files.
