Dropbox changes the modification and creation dates on all folders on the desktop app.
This is a problem since I cannot locate the most recent folders out of thousands easily. I use Drive for other backup items and it doesn't change my dates. Please fix this issue. I've seen others on the Community requesting the same fix.

Hey deboutwest, thanks for reaching out to us.
Can you give us some more info on the situation?
How are you adding folders to your Dropbox? Is it with the Dropbox website or the desktop app (through your Dropbox folder)?
If it's through your Dropbox folder, are you dragging and dropping the folders or cutting and pasting them? And do you see a difference in behavior between these two processes?
Any additional info you can think of, would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance.

It happens when I synchronize from the cloud to my desktop. I don't keep everything on my desktop. I only synchronize folders when needed. Dropbox changes the created date and the modified date to the synchronized date.

deboutwest, can you send over a few screenshots of what appears on your Dropbox account online and then of what you see when your folders are synced locally on the desktop app?
Do you normally have your folders set as online-only or are they totally removed from the desktop app with the use of selective sync?
