Can't delete my Dropbox backup even if I already unlinked the PC
As I wrote in the subject, I have already unlinked the computer, and the list of linked devices is empty. Nevertheless, every time I click to delete the Backup folders, I am told that since I no longer have access to the computer, I must first go to settings and unlink it. But I have already done that! and I repeat: there are NO more linked devices. I lost a day of work on this! I urgently need help. (note: I can see the backup)
the problem self resolved without doing anything.... a new option "unlink" appeared when i tried to delete the backup again and again... (even if there was ANY to unlink). I click on it and soon after that I was able to delete the backup.

This is driving me mad! I have some sort of automatic Dropbox back up on my Mac which has quickly filled up. Can't switch it off and now Dropbox is full. I can ID the culprit files but deleting them in the standard way prompts a 'dialogue window': Delete Downloads from your Mac backup?
Go to Backup settings to delete Downloads.
If you no longer have access to the computer you used to create Mac backup, click
dont have access
I don't have access
cancelNo further progress can be made - clicking on 'I don't have access' or 'Back Up settings' leads to an endless loop of prompting me to sign up for 2 TB of storage. How do I delete these huge back up files? Seems like it should be simple!
Thanks

benwaddington1, can you please check the OP’s solution above and let me know if you can see the option they mention now?
If not, I can log a ticket for you and investigate further.
