Retrieving all my deleted files

Due to personal family responsibilities, I didn't visit or access my files I've had for quite a few past years for about a year. But, just recently, I returned to my account (Basic - Free) to find all of them have apparently been deleted by Dropbox. I need my files! If I upgrade to a paid account, will Dropbox return my files to me?

If only they had sent me a notice, I would have upgraded then.

Please help with any advice you have. Thank you!

      Hi Walter,

I feel so stupid! Apparently, I accidentally opened a new account using my second email address. I decided to try logging in again under my original address I use most often. And, of course, there were all my files, too. I decided to upgrade to more services under that original account just now.

However, that means I have a second account with nothing in it under my gmail address. I need to delete this account. Should I just go into it and follow the link to do this?

Thanks for your time and help, Walter!

Hey Zelda318, I'm glad you figured out what the issue was!

If you'd like to delete your second account, indeed, all you need to do is login to it and follow the steps in this article.

Just make sure it's the right account!
