Windows 11 - Screenshots saving to dropbox but no longer to my screenshot folder after lappy crashed
Newbie here. My dearest tech gal friend Karen (BFF too genetic) who used to help me through these dilemmas passed during Covid but I do try to carry on as she taught me. Learning and searching and stretching my boundaries. Little over a week ago my 3 year old HP Envy hit be with that dreaded blue screen of death. I fought (muddled) my way into DOS (scary territory for this old gal I tell you!) but totally reinstalled windows 11, and as I don't store anything much on the hard drive the possibility of loss was slight. I had fabulous success (Thank you my lost friend) and got up and running reloaded all apps etc. But I am stuck with one single glitch, try as I might I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong I save my screenshots to my DB and into a folder simply named screenshots . . have done this since friend Karen introduced me to the program some 10 years ago . . . Where do i actually find the **bleep** smart sync, I either have to download and then sync or went to the website to access the file. How can I disable the push notification when copying Dropbox link from PC
I don't want dropbox to tell me I just copied I file. I know I did, because I just told it to. How do I disable that? I've already gone to Windows' Action Center and disabled Dropbox' icon and notifications there, I disabled every notification in preferences->notifications for the PC program. Yet I keep seeing them. Hello, like many people, I got the update that added the individual user folders and changed all the file paths in Dropbox as a result. It looks like shortcut aliases where made to help all the apps that had obsolete paths in Recent Files and stuff, but it has seriously messed Windows File Explorer up in terms of staying fresh. More importantly, when I select "Make Available Offline" (what used to be "Store Locally") the Dropbox app is usually but not always ignoring my request. In previous versions, the download happened immediately. Now, most of the time (but not always!) I have to kill all Dropbox tasks and services and restart. Then it syncs. Could not find my screenshots under Pictures-Screenshots. Eventually found them in Dropbox. Checked Hep and Community support and cannot find the solution to have them stay in my files on the computer. Saw someone accessed Preferences, but I have not found out how to do this. Multiple accounts using Dropbox App
Hi I have 2 accounts one my personal and other an organisational account. I find convenient to use the app on my windows pc and I find that I can see the organisational one not my other. I have gone to online account and logged out of the one that is there and even when logged into my personal account I can't see if in windows explorer. dropbox crashes every now and then and fails to start also every now and then. i ve tried everything mentioned in the community exept advanced reinstall it doesnt let me click on WINDOWS option arrow, dont know why so i couldnt do it. i ve uninstalled it installed it again check my drives for errors everything, unlink re link etc as mentioned at your community but the problem still persists. i didnt change a thing in my avast or comodo programs, a frined of mine has exactly the same Avirus and firewall progs and dropbox works fine. i ve tried disabling all shields of Avirus and firewall closed still nothing after a couple of restarts of drobox/crashes then it starts working normally (then again it may crash at some point). how do i do advanced reinstalling if i canot click on the windows tab? https://help.dropbox.com/installs/advanced-reinstallSolved1.1KViews1like2Comments
