Hello: Shortly after I got a new computer, I keep getting messages that my hard drive is full. so when I check the storage it is my Dropbox folder using all the space: and when I go to the website, I have 2T space available: So, my 2 questions are: I obviously do NOT need 2T space, so can I change my subscription to give me less space? How can I remove the Dropbox folder off my hard drive and only use the website? I changed the setting to "available online only" but I do not really know exactly what that means. I did not seem to change the space - maybe I have to restart the computer? Thanks, smblock222Views0likes1CommentDropbox online-only consuming hard drive space on Windows
I set my Dropbox and folders to online only but it is still taking up the majority of my hard drive. The files are (also?) located on my c drive: C:\Users\JaneDoe\Dropbox. If I delete a folder from the C drive it deletes it everywhere. I'm not sure how to fix this as I have never had this problem before.181Views0likes1CommentMove default file on Windows 10

I have Dropbox Basic. I accidentally started to download a large photo collection which exceeded my 2GB limit. Now it tells me that my account is full, although when I go to File Explorer I don't see any of the photos, just one unrelated item. How do I delete all the photos from Dropbox, when I can't even see them.409Views0likes1CommentInstalled DB on a new laptop. Unintentionally synced so that the files all downloaded.
Setting up a new laptop for my wife. I added her DB account and allowed the sync to run. She has a 2TB account, although she is not using it all (fortunately!). I guess I inadvertently allowed the app to sync the files locally on to the new laptop. How can I remove them in mass without disturbing the cloud based files and still have her use the app to pull up the cloud based files? Windows 11 PC. BTW, why is the system tray icon black? On another new PC, it is showing up white.Solved533Views0likes1CommentDropbox taking up 57GB disk space even when set to 'online only', unable to change
Hi, My dropbox setting is set to Online Only but it still takes up 57GB of disk space. Also, the files don't show any of the syncing icons next to them. This is really affecting my PC usage. I'm on Windows 10. Screenshots are attached. Thank you!!329Views0likes1Comment
