Hi there, I've been happily working with Indesign files in Dropbox for a year now where my files are all stored Online Only. It used to be the case that Dropbox would automatically relink all the supporting files that are stored on Dropbox.com and I would be able to edit the InDesign file. Recently, upon opening an InDesign file all the links to picture files etc are broken. Added to that, when I try to relink the files through InDesign I get a message that reads: Import Failed! (see attachment). My Dropbox App says that the files I am trying to relink are all Zero Bytes. When I access my account at Dropbox.com the files are all good. The only way I seems that I can relink my files is if I download them to my iMac. I'm currently using Mac OS Monterey 12.3.1. Any ideas?Solved18KViews5likes68CommentsExtremely slow upload speed on Dropbox compared to Google Drive
I'm using both Dropbox and Google Drive on my laptop (Macbook Pro) here at home, and I've noticed in the past few weeks that my upload speed to Drobox is extremely slow. I've read the following threads on this issue and haven't been able to find a solution: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-files-folders/VERY-SLOW-Upload-speed-uploading-files-from-Dropbox-desktop-app/td-p/416741 https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-files-folders/Ridiculously-slow-upload-speeds/td-p/395342 https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-files-folders/Dropbox-uploads-extremly-slow/td-p/314997 I have already tried the following and they did not solve my problem: - restarting my laptop - restarting my router - turning my wifi on and off on my laptop - pausing and resuming sync on dropbox app on my laptop - setting the dropbox app upload bandwidth limit to "no limit" I tested my internet speed and I should have 70-80 Mbps download / 10-20 Mpbs upload. On Dropbox I've only been getting a dismal 1-3 kbps upload speed! I had one 80-megabyte file that was taking days to "sync" to Dropbox. I moved it to my Google Drive and it only took about minute to upload there. So it's really Dropbox that's the problem. I'm very annoyed because I've been relying on Dropbox as my primary syncing service and just renewed my subscription last April. If I can't use Dropbox properly due to the unbearably slow upload speed I'll have to move back to Google Drive.Solved11KViews4likes12CommentsUpload file directly from Google Drive
As a Dropbox fan, Google Drive has always been a nightmare to me, due to its unstable download speed, horrible syncing app, irrational sharing logic, etc. I used to be able to transfer files directly from Google Drive to Dropbox using the Dropbox's native feature on Jun 18, 2022. I thought it was the day to end the Google Drive nightmare, but unfortunately the next day Dropbox took this feature away. I have to say this feature is so critical to my Dropbox using experience. As my business partners always use Google Drive to share large files every day, and I use Dropbox to store all my own files. In the past, I have to install third-party app to my Google Drive to allow the files stored on Google Drive to be downloaded to the server provided by the third-party developer, and then they upload the files to my Dropbox account. During the process, files from both Google Drive and Dropbox have a high risk of being exposed to a third party or even leak to public. If Dropbox could establish a direct tunnel with Google Drive, I will be more confident to transfer files. Sometimes the files our business partner shared need not to be downloaded to local computer, and only need to be stored on cloud. That's where this direct-transfer feature becomes especially useful.6.6KViews3likes13CommentsAndroid: Kdbx files can only opened with Google Drive-PDF-Viewer which is wrong!
Why can I open Keepass *.kdbx files only with Google Drive-PDF-Viewer?? It is no PDF. Why does the dropbox app does not let me choose a different App to open the file with? Why not use the android default app open selection??12KViews3likes55CommentsHow can I export images from Dropbox to Facebook?
I sell LuLaRoe and all of my inventory photos are on Dropbox. If I want to post a photo from Dropbox, is there a way to do that without first going into Dropbox on my phone and saving it into my Camera Roll? For instance - when I click to add a photo - my option is Camera Roll - is there a way to have Dropbox as an option and select pictures directly from there? I can do it on my laptop, but can't figure it out on my phone!Solved20KViews3likes11CommentsNo Link Code when using Single Sign-on from home
Hello, My organization has enabled single sign-on for our dropbox work accounts. I managed to download the dropbox client on my work computer and use single sign-on just fine there. However, at home, I have downloaded the client and when I go to use single sign-on I input my work email address and click next and I never receive a code. Nothing happens. Thanks for any advice on how to proceed. Kindly, KyleSolved10KViews3likes13CommentsDropbox uploading raw files as jpg
