duplicate photos without impacting storage
i have lots of photos and videos that belong to multiple hierarchies. for example if i'm on a trip and i record video of some concerts i'm at, i save those videos to a 'travel' folder organized by place and date and also to a music folder organized by the band i'm recording. this is really handy as i can share the entire history of footage i have of that band with someone easily by sharing the the band folder and i don't have to wade through the other videos/pictures from the trip. ideally, i could do this without impacting storage. after all, it is the same photo or video, and under the hood dropbox could just have two different pointers to the same video and i could share one pointer without sharing the other, thus not doubling the storage space. i think this would be useful for a lot of users!How can I share files with other users without affecting my Dropbox quota?
I have a Dropbox Basic Plan but I belong to a group with multiple individuals. Some of these individuals also have a DB Basic Plan but others have Plans with different storage amounts. HOW do I share files and still keep my storage under 2 GB?
Just got invited to a Dropbox team. The shared folder is above 3gb. I need a payed plan to access?
I got an invitation to participate on a folder from a company that i´m working with. I´m on a basic plan (just joined). The folder has over 3gb and it doesn´t allow me to access it - basic plano offers 2gb free. The only way to access the folder is by upgrading my account? Or is there a specific setup that the comapny with a payed account can use to grant me access without having to upgrade my account?
A shared folder is using all of my Dropbox space.
The fact that I joined a shared folder and it's put me at 29.2/2 gigs is ridiculous. I have 0 uploaded files in my account and yet I need to pay to use the basic functions? You guys should probably fix that. I see a lot of other threads with the same issue.
