I have my own dropbox but independently, for work things, I been given access to files and folders in various other people's dropboxes recently but for some reason I get an error msg and can't access them. These are open files to everyone and it is not just one time / company - it's happening with courses I have paid for, with press media files that are available just generally, people who send me general links to files - I always get this error: Error Something went wrong. Don’t worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check ourStatus Pageto see if there is a known incident, ourhelp centreandforumsfor help, or go back tohome. I have checked the installer, checked my own dropbox syncs etc. My own files are fine and so I can't see the issue. It has happened without about 5 different companies giving me access - that I can't see the files - which are open to the general public if you have been sent the link. What can I do?79Views0likes4CommentsZip file can not decompress Mac OS X
Hello DB. I have now, on multiple occasions, had clients write me that when they download a folder I sent them, the resulting .zip file will provide an error when decompressed. I have myself recreated this on a Macbook Air M2 on OS X Monterey and Big Sur. The downloaded zip file has the correct size, but is corrupt. I would like to suggest a report feature that shows the date (and time?) that a file has been downloaded by the intended recipient. This will help us keep track of the files that need to be downloaded as well as enable us to clean up our file directory.268Views0likes2CommentsRemove "Log in or sign up" Popup when downloading from a shared link
We recently chose Dropbox as the best-looking and most functional drive-sharing tool for our video production company. However, there's an annoying popup prompting clients to log in or sign up when we share links. The "Continue with download only" button is easily missed, especially by older clients, making us look unprofessional. It's frustrating that such a customizable platform has this issue. We hope for a solution soon!4.5KViews4likes25CommentsI'm not sure which option to select to download all photos from a shared link.
I've received an email with a link to a dropbox with photos. When I open the link, the photos are listed by their names and extension .jpg. I don't know what to do next. The page has "Extract all," "Comment," "a comment box, " "a down arrow" and a "copy link." All I want to do is to save them to a thumb drive connected on the Macbook pro computer. How do I do this, please?140Views0likes1CommentIndividual user having trouble uploading documents to a Corporate Dropbox account
Hi, I have a free individual Dropbox membership. I'm a member of a local Rotary Club that has a Corporate Dropbox account. I'm able to access documents in the Rotary drop box (e.g. view documents, download document). However, I have not been able to upload documents into the Rotary Dropbox. I keep getting the error message that I need to upgrade my account to increase my storage. I've uploaded documents to other Corporate Dropbox accounts before without having to have a paid membership. any ideas why I'm having trouble with the Rotary Dropbox? Thanks,Solved2.1KViews0likes4CommentsDisabling downloads on a shared folder.

This has only been happening to me within the past week, but it is really hurting my business. I am always sending a folder with either video files or photos. Generally people are opening the link on their phone with the intention of saving them to their phone. Basically what is happening is when I send someone the link to the folder, for them it either says that the folder is empty, or it shows the files but when they click on them it says the file type is not supported and so they can't view them or save them. This seems to happen whether they are using the Dropbox app or they open the link using Safari. The same thing also happens if they try to open the link to the folder on desktop. Also it should be noted that I upload the files via the Dropbox website, and I know they are all synced before I send the link because I check on the app on my phone before I copy the link. I have double checked and I know I am sending them the correct link and near the link when I copy it it literally says "anyone with this link will have access to these files" but I guess that is not the case for some reason. It also doesn't seem to matter if the person is signed in to their account or not. Any idea on why this is happening? Need to fix it ASAPSolved8.5KViews3likes38Comments
