I cannot find an answer to my problem. I have seen it asked but no answers. I have a customer that uses Dropbox to share building plans and specifications for me to quote jobs. The folder names are being cut off so that I cannot read all of the folder information. I cannot find a way to adjust the column width or wrap the text. I am viewing Dropbox / the folders in a Chrome based browser. Below is an example of the problem.333Views0likes3CommentsHow can I preview my files in full-screen mode on the website and not in quick view?
Suddenly I cannot open and files (documents or photos) in full-screen mode. Instead I get a split screen with the file shown only on the far-right third of the page. Is there some new way to open a file? Or please tell me how to get full view of files on the website. Can we please stop constantly changing features that seem to work just fine? First the photo-collage folder thumbails (still not option for that irritating change) and now chopping off our view screen without no notice or (easy) way to figure out how to change to full view. Moreover, if Dropbox is going to change something, can't Dropbox send subscribers an email or something explaining the changes and how to work with (or without) them instead of ambush and surprise. Seems like Dropbox makes incessant changes just to satisfy only one type of customer (i.e., not me). Thanks, JudithSolved2.6KViews0likes10CommentsHow can I view the folder activity?
I have Dropbox for Business. I am looking to see folder activity. There used to be a way to open the activity pane, but it is not there now. I tired in both chrome and edge. If I got to a subfolder, click on the three dots on the right, scroll down, and then select folder activity, it does open the activity pane. Any idea how to open the activity pane without doing that?312Views0likes3CommentsAutomatic file preview on the right of the page whenever I select a file
This just started happening yesterday (online interface)... whenever I select a file, a preview pane opens on the right with a preview of the file. I don't want or need this, especially with image files since I view those by large grid and it's redundant to have the preview. This preview literally takes up half of the Dropbox interface on my screen. The kicker is that if I upload a file, once the file is uploaded the file is considered 'selected' so the preview opens then too! Is there any way to disable this totally unnecessary and obtrusive feature?Solved3.5KViews4likes9CommentsOn Chrome, every time I refresh Dropbox page, the folder tree gets obscured and folders not visible.
We are using Dropbox for work on Chrome. Every time I reload the page, the folder-tree gets obstructed by the edge of the frame. Each time I need to manually expand it. The horizontal bar doesn't help either, because it doesn't reveal the far right folder, even though it is scrolled to the maximum (see screenshot).616Views0likes3CommentsHow can I change the right-side quick preview on the website?
Regarding the most recent update: PLEASE get rid of the feature that makes document previews pop up on the right side of the screen. It's really annoying and is messing with my workflow. When you add new features like this you need to give people the option to turn them off. I don't like it and it's making my user experience cumbersome. Stop making updates without allowing users to turn off the new features. I was fine with the way Dropbox was before. This isn't the firs time an update to the interface has made my job harder.520Views1like3CommentsCan we have special folders on the home page?
is there a way to view my Special folders when i open dropbox as an home page? I'm tired always to click on Specials everytime... I always do that, everyday... why dont the simply give us the change to make our home page and customize it as we want. We click on some folders everytime, and id like to have it right in front of me when i open Dropbox home on browser. Is there a way to make it? I've used dropbox for decades, and not used dropbox for the last 5 years. These are some of the reasons why: Dropbox does not quickly show me the file sizes inside my folders and in my total space alloted in my quota. Getting to the info is not quick and it should be visible at the top level of every heirarchy. Dropbox controls just don't work, private areas are hacked constantly and are useless. Sign-ins for colleagues don't work. The design of the dropbox page template takes up so much screen real estate that the most important info is always missing / not showing at the bottom of the page. Design like this is not excuseable; it is done on purpose to prevent users from knowing how much space they are using and other important things. These decisions on Dropbox's part are antithetical to a utility.384Views0likes1Comment
