Hi! I use dropbox to sync up my files from my computer to my mobile devices (iphone and iPad). When I tried this morning to save my files to my phone, I discovered that the "Export"-button was missing and had been replaced by a share button (profile with a plus sign next to it). So my question is: How do I download my files (images in this case) to my camera roll on my phone?Solved75KViews5likes27CommentsIs Dropbox on mobile slow and fails often on you?

After upgrading to Dropbox Plus, with 2TB of space, I just transferred a lot of files and folders into my Dropbox. I thought they would automatically be online-only, but when they started to sync they have almost totally filled my hard drive. I cannot change anything to "online-only." That option is not available to me. I have tried it after Pausing Sync and that did not change anything. I also think my Dropbox desktop app has not upgraded to my Plus account, because I only have "selective sync" available under preferences. it does not show any smart sync options. I'm afraid to try and re-download the desktop app with so little disk space, but I'm going to try. I am sending out this plea for help before I try it! thank you for any advice!Solved3.7KViews2likes4CommentsFull-text-search not working for Plus
Hi, I'm currently trying the Plus plan in order to substitute my Evernote account. One of the needed features is the "full-text-search" and as stated in dropbox webpage: "If you're a Dropbox Plus, Professional, or Business user, you have access to a feature called full-text search, which can find files by file name, extension, or keyword within the file." However, I haven't been able to find anything on PDF or txt files (tried website and dropbox app). Is this feature really working for Plus plan? Does it work for IOS too? Thank you!Solved4KViews2likes9CommentsI have an issue with my videos' quality when on the website. Can you shed some light?
I upload videos from my iphone 6 plus. When I view them on my phone with the Dropbox app, they are far less sharp than the original. When I view them from the Dropbox website, they are better, but still not quite as good as the original. Is there some video setting I need to change? As far as I know the original files (full resolution) are what is uploaded, so the quality should be the same.Solved15KViews2likes6CommentsComments box bug: not showing comments, and disappearing.
Hi all, As recently as January 2024, the comment box when scrolling through documents has become really buggy, with the box disappearing, and entire comments disappearing. This is really concerning for teams that use uploaded scanned documents like receipts for accounting and tagging them for Xero. Any idea what's going on here? Happening for all users, all shared, all notifications are on.1.6KViews1like8CommentsPhotos tab in the iOS app does not display .dng ProRAW photos
Hi, On my iPhone 15 Pro I am taking photos in ProRAW format. Photos are saved with extension .dng. I am using the Dropbox app's Camera Upload feature which successfully uploads these ProRAW .dng files to my Camera Uploads folder, but if I tap on the Photos tab in the app, it does not show these photos. Can support for displaying .dng files in the Photos tab please be considered? To replicate, on an iPhone that supports the ProRAW photo format and with the Dropbox iOS app installed and Camera Uploads turned on: 1. Enable 'ProRAW & Resolution Control' in Settings > Camera > Formats (I am using 'ProRAW Max') 2. Snap a photo 3. Open the Dropbox app.The new photo should be automatically uploaded to the Camera Uploads folder 4. Browse to the Camera Uploads folder to see the new photo exists 5. Browse to the Photos tab and notice that the new photo is not displayed. iPhone 15 Pro iOS 17.1.1 Dropbox iOS app version 354.4.2 Thanks, JonnySolved1.2KViews1like6CommentsDropbox limits on zipped files preventing downloading as backup to external drive.
Have ~1.5 TB of files on Dropbox that I'm trying to backup to an external hard drive. My initial plan was to copy the local Dropbox folder from my PC to the external drive. However, I'd previously enabled DropBox's SmartSync, which effectively replaced local files with shortcuts to the files in the cloud (to free up disk space). I'm pretty sure that copying the directory will now only copy the shortcuts rather than the actual files located on the cloud, the latter of which I'd like to copy. To ensure that I copy the actual files to the external drive, I tried to download my entire Dropbox folder from the Dropbox.com site. This produced the error: "Attempted to zip too many files." This is puzzling sinceDropbox Basic has 100k file downloads and 20GB bandwidth limits, but as a Dropbox Plus user I should have 1TB of bandwidth and unlimited downloads. Even after trying to download a <1 TB-sized subdirectory, I still received the error. There also appear to be conflicting reports aboutdownload file number and size limits. Any ideas on how to download all of my data from Dropbox to an external disk? I don't even know what Dropbox's zip limits.8.5KViews1like7Comments
