I have created a link for viewing and other than "who has access" all other toggles are greyed out. I have the Family plan https://www.dropbox.com/family and unfortunately, I cannot find anything that specifically tells me whether this option is allowed or not. I thought there was an option for securing files. When I go here: https://help.dropbox.com/share/set-link-permissions I can see plans like "Standard" have this option, but then when I go to compare planshttps://www.dropbox.com/plans neither the "standard" nor "family plan" is listed for me to even see what options are included in these plans. Hello! I have shared files with 2 members and gave them editing access. They can open dropbox on their end and see the file but cannot edit. One user was able to open a file in another window and make edits but they did not appear in the shared file. We have a family plan if that matters. My system info HW:Apple M1 Pro OS: Ventura 13.5 (22G74) Dropbox ver: v180.3.4837 & joined beta Dropbox beta has an incomprehensible behavior when using the file provider feature on macOS. As shown in the finder screenshot below, I have set "Make available offline" except for a few folders. However, the cloud with arrow icon(next to the dropbox icon) is "not downloaded" and the dropbox status in the menubaris "your files are up to date". Doesn't "make available offline" mean that all files are accessible offline on my macbook? But what does "not downloaded" mean? No matter how long I waited, the "your files are up to date" status didn't change, so I finally clicked on the cloud icon in the finder to actually download the files. Running v202.4.5551 on 2 Macbook pros and 2 iMacs; longtime user with no problems until now. One of the Macbook pros is new (an M1) and is unable to complete sync after desktop app installation. It will start OK but then stall after 5-10 Gb. This is selective sync for about 200 Gb of files that I want to maintain (and sync) offline. No sync issues are reported, and large files (10-20 Gb) that aren't on dropbox download quickly. (Running ~100 Mb/s). This laptop is on the exact same home network with the other Macbook pro (with an intel chip) and both iMacs; there are no firewalls or proxies, and the other 3 computers are syncing just fine, running the same version of the app. Both Macbook pros are running Sonoma 14.5, and configured identically. I tried the usual fixes: uninstalling/reinstalling app, advanced uninstall, fixing permissions and links, and syncing to an external SSD instead of the internal SSD, all to no avail. I opened a ticket with support, was told that "it looks like we're consistently getting some errors indicative of an underlying connection issue", and was advised to unlink/remove the Dropbox folder from the app by signing out of the account, then relink with a new folder and path. That didn't work either. What has worked, just in the last 2 hours is, instead of using the laptop's WiFi connection, using the WiFi connection on one of the iMacs, connected to the laptop via thunderbolt bridge. So...there's something about the laptop WiFi connection that doesn't play well with the Dropbox app. I realize this seems like maybe more of an Apple than a Dropbox question but hoped someone here with some Apple expertise might have a helpful suggestion. I have an old iMac that I cannot install the Drop Box app as I cannot upgrade the Mac to a new enough iOS. I have 30,000 pictures I am trying to get off my iMac but do not want to lose the "create date" as it will make it too difficult to search for old pictures. So, I am left to use the web version of Drop Box. It seems when I upload the photos ion Drop Box, the create date is being changed to the date of the upload. This is in regard to Dropbox on macOS 13.6.6. In my sync settings, I have always used "Available offline" and that remains the current setting. After starting my Mac today, in my Dropbox folder (20 items) nearly every folder and file has an "Online only" cloud+arrow status icon; only a single (seldom-used) folder has a green checkmark. The menubar app indicates "Your files are up to date" and there are no sync issues. The Online only icon also appears on every item in every folder except that one. Quitting and restarting Dropbox did not change this. I also tried quitting the app, re-installing, and restarting my Mac, and the issue persists.
