Dropbox Family
221 TopicsCan I password protect folders while on a Family plan?
I have created a link for viewing and other than "who has access" all other toggles are greyed out. I have the Family plan https://www.dropbox.com/family and unfortunately, I cannot find anything that specifically tells me whether this option is allowed or not. I thought there was an option for securing files. When I go here: https://help.dropbox.com/share/set-link-permissions I can see plans like "Standard" have this option, but then when I go to compare planshttps://www.dropbox.com/plans neither the "standard" nor "family plan" is listed for me to even see what options are included in these plans. Can someone please tell me how I find out exactly what is included in what plan?Solved94Views0likes2CommentsTransfering ownership of a family plan?
Hi We have a family plan and the family manager is no longer able to continue in that role for serious health reasons. What we need to do is transfer ownership so that one of the other members within the family plan can take over the role of manager and become responsible for future payments when they are due. Is there a way to do this? Any assistance would be gratefully received.1.5KViews1like8CommentsI shared files with edit rights, but the recipients can't edit them.
Hello! I have shared files with 2 members and gave them editing access. They can open dropbox on their end and see the file but cannot edit. One user was able to open a file in another window and make edits but they did not appear in the shared file. We have a family plan if that matters. I can’t find the differences between the family vs professional plan. I currently have the professional plan but want my wife to be able to upload her pictures to her own “Camera Backup_wife” folder and I believe that is not doable unless I’m mistaken? I read that a family plan would allow her to do this but I can’t find a comparison of the plans and so I’m wondering if I would loss features switching from Professional to Family? Will I still have large file transfers? And unlimited devices?5.6KViews0likes3CommentsPassword files and folders protection and sharing payable add on for Family plan
Quick and Simple business win for happier customers: -create a billable add on feature to the family plan to be able to password protect files, folders, and sharing them like with pro accounts. Other pros accounts does not meet familly personal use (up to 6 users, Vault, shared space) but still need password protection in occasions and I am sure tons of people would be willing to pay for this extra feature. Win-Win. Busniess answering people needs. Thank you316Views0likes3CommentsI can't access & locate Dropbox Family folders.
I was invited to a family dropbox plan which I accepted and I could see all the content but for some reason when I login to my dropbox I can't see any of this. Is there a different login for family dropbox or am I just looking in the wrong place?134Views0likes1CommentI'm part of a Family plan, but other users can't upload files to my folder due to insufficient space
I am a member of this Family Abo of 2TB. On my side, I opened a new folder with subfolder for being able to store photos of different users. my users, I gave the access, informed me that they can not upload their photos because of capacity of 2GB. If I am a member of this family abo, can I use the capacity of this family abo? YES or NO? ...if No, then I have to apply for a costly abo. correct?Solved197Views1like2CommentsCan we change our Family manager or do we need to cancel and re-upgrade to Family?
Hi, our team is currently using the family plan and we want to keep using that plan, but the family manager is leaving the company. I plan to change the manager to someone else and update the payment card. Is it right for continuing to use the data we've had so far? or would I need to cancel the current plan and subscribe to a new one for creating new account? If I have to cancel, will I be able to back up and continue using our data? (I mean, can I use all previous date with the new account?) and if so, which plan would be best for our team? We're currently using a 2TB family plan, and our team consists of 5 members.479Views0likes7Comments
