Dropbox Dash indexing/preparation and configuration
I'm experimenting with the Dropbox Dash beta. Its uncomfortably "blackbox" to me. What I'd like to be able to do is see what data sources and folders its currently indexing or preparing with embeddings etc.. I'd also like to be able to be more fine grained in defining what data sources provide input data for Dash. Its too coarse grained to provide a go ahead for an entire Dropbox account. I'd like to be able to say "just these folders". Is the Dropbox Dash team intending to provide these types of "visibility and control" features?
Dropbox Dash won't start on mac os with "Sorry, it looks like something went wrong"
Hi, i've been using Dropbox Dash (Command E) for years on Mac OS (latest stable version) and after certain update of Dash, I can't start it anymore. I've tried to download and reinstall, even remove all data found in ~/Library, but no luck. It just shows the start screen with red error error message "Sorry, it looks like something went wrong. Reload Dash". Any ideas please how to resolve?
Dropbox Dash extension & desktop apps have same name & m concern about how they are supposed to work
Hello Dropbox team. Today I installed dropbox Dash extension from the MAS. I then discovered that there was a desktop client and proceeded to download it. Upon trying to install the desktop app, I was told that, the extension and desktop app have the same name so I deleted the extension and installed the desktop app. I added bookmarks to the web app to be pulled up in the Mac app and when I typed a search and hit enter, it open a browser tab in the dropbox web app. The Dropbox web app rendered the link with the option to now open the webpage on a new tab that I had requested. What can be done to resolve this and why are the extension and Mac app have the same name. Michael
