I have upgraded to iOS 18 on my iPad and updated the Dropbox app. I turned Camera Uploads on, with Upload from set to Camera Roll and Back up set to All Photos. Nothing is uploaded, even though my Camera Roll has over 16,000 photos. Uploading manually is not an option, as there is no Select All function. In addition, manual upload only allows 400 photos at a time. The new iOS 18 Photos app no longer has a folder named 'Camera Roll', so I'm wondering if that is the problem? I logged out of the Dropbox app and back in, which then took me through Set Up your Dropbox. The Upload Photos option seemed like it would work if I chose Imports, but again there is no Select All option. So I went back to the Camera Uploads settings and turned Camera Roll off, and Recently Saved (under Smart Folders) on. Same thing, nothing uploads. I'm stumped!37Views0likes1CommentDefault PDF viewer on iPad
Is there a way to change the default PDF viewer in the Dropbox App for the iPad? When I click on "Open in" in a PDF, it only shows the option of Adobe, but I use PDF Expert. (In contrast, on my Mac, when I double click on a PDF in my Dropbox folder, it automatically opens in PDF Expert). If I can't change the default PDF viewer to PDF Expert on the iPad, what is the easiest way to open a PDF from Dropbox in PDF Expert? (Of course I already know that I can start IN PDF Expert and open Dropbox files there from Dropbox, which I have linked to it; but this is for when I happen to have begun from the Dropbox iPad app instead.)23Views0likes1CommentNative macOS Dropbox App vs. Maestral
I stopped using the native Dropbox app a couple years ago because it was so resource intensive. I've been using Maestral since to view and sync my Dropbox content due to lighter footprint. I have a M3 MBP with 36 GB memory, running macOS 15.1 (Sequoia). Any feedback with use of current native Dropbox app? Happy with use and performance? Thank you.34Views0likes0CommentsDropbox disappearing from Mac Finder side panel

When uploading a ProRes MOV with graphics to Dropbox Replay, we see a weird transparency grid during graphic transitions when full-screen graphics appear in the video - during playback. Has anyone come across this issue before?834Views0likes9CommentsMy mobile subscription has expired, but Dropbox still won't let me re-subscribe via the website
Hello. I am trying to switch my subscription from Apple mobile payment to the Dropbox website. I have already followed the instructions provided by Dropbox and cancelled my subscription with Apple. According to Apple, my mobile subscription expired on August 7th (10 days ago). However, when I go to manage my subscription on Dropbox.com, I am told I have to manage my subscription through Apple and not given the option to subscribe via web. To make matters more frustrating, when I try to contact support by email through Dropbox's website, I'm given the same set of instructions I already followed and not allowed to submit a support request. I haven't attempted to use the live chat because it's not available on weekends, and if I'm going to have to wait until Monday to receive support anyway, I'd rather be able to submit a support request now while I'm thinking about it and handle it asynchronously than have to remember to do it on Monday. It's incredibly frustrating, and from looking at the forums, it seems like this is a problem multiple people have had that has required email support from Dropbox to resolve. I would primarily like help resolving this issue so I can subscribe to Dropbox via the website. However, I would also like Dropbox to consider updating the "Submit a Help Request" form to allow people having this issue to, ya know, use it. The fact that multiple people have posted on this forum about this exact same issue shows that the instructions provided are insufficient, and genuinely the most aggravating part of this entire thing has been being stonewalled by Dropbox's support request UI. Please either update the instructions with troubleshooting steps when your subscription has expired on mobile but you're still unable to change your subscription plan on the website, or, if this always requires Dropbox support to resolve, provide a way for people in this situation to indicate as such in the "Submit a Help Request" form that will allow them to, ya know, submit a help request.419Views0likes5CommentsConfusing access of Dropbox files when compared to different cloud providers
I often get very confused accessing my Dropbox files via various Apple, Google and Microsoft apps on my Mac and iPad. This is particularly problematic for me when trying to locate and open files on Mac and/or iPad for Microsoft apps (such as Excel & Word), for Google apps (such as Numbers & Sheets), and for comparable Apple apps. For example, some .xlsx and .docx files in my Dropbox will open from my Mac, but I'm not allowed to open them from my iPad. And sometimes vice versa. Some Dropbox files don't even appear on both my Mac and iPad, for reasons I don't understand. I wonder if this may be the result of confusion around rules to ensure proper software account integration. Or perhaps that syncing in the integration world get too complex to for casual users like me to understand or manage. Is there a single document available that explains all the steps necessary to make sure Dropbox will present a standard, consistent list of the entire file content of my Dropbox to the same apps on my Mac and iPad.743Views0likes2CommentsThere's no option to integrate Dropbox with mail to attach/save files on macOS.
