Why is there no way to password protect the Dropbox Paper mobil app? I mean are you kidding me? I really wanted to use this app to keep passwords so I could go from desktop to mobil and quickly look up a password or some other secret document but to my surprise, after initially setting up DB Paper, it opens right up to my save secret document. the Dropbox app has a 4-digit password, how freaking hard would it be to put that in the Paper app?24KViews36likes15CommentsPlease allow pairing of more than two accounts.
Please allow pairing of more than two accounts. As a contractor, I am a member of a company's business account, a team member of another company, and have my personal account. It is frustrating to only be able to pair two of them, so that when I need to access the third, I have to completely sign out of the others and sign in fresh for the third.17KViews40likes84CommentsAdmin disable "remember me" on login screen
As an admin I would like the ability to disable the "remember me" option on the login screen. This would force the user to enter a password whenever logging into Dropbox online. Many apps make this available to company admins. As cybersecurity becomes increasingly important this is a feature that I think is absolutely mandatory. I would really like for Dropbox to close the desktop app when a user logs out of their computer. For some reason they think this is unnecessary and that a computer password is sufficient security. I find it interesting that Boxcryptor, one of their technology partners, offers this extra security but Dropbox doesn't bother to do so. Would it really take that much effort to add this feature? You talk about how secure our data is in your cloud storage. How about helping to make it secure on my desktop?11KViews10likes11CommentsDelete multiple shared links option
THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION TO DELETE MULTIPLES SHARED LINKS AT ONCE. PEOPLE ARE BUYING UR SERVICES BY PAYING ALOT BECAUSE ITS GOOD TO KEEP YOUR DATA ON CLOUDS RATHER THEN KEEPING IT IN MOBILE OR LAPTOPS. YOU SHOULD MAKE MULTIPLE LINKS DELETE OPTIONS SO THAT WE CAN DELETE OLD LINKS EASILY RIGHT NOW AM SITTING FROM PAST 1 HOUR AND DELETING OLD LINKS ONE BY ONE....ALSO ITS HARD TO GO TO EVERY FOLDER AND VALIDATE TIME FOR EVERY SINGLE FOLDER MAKE IT SIMPLE AND BRING AN OPTION IN DROPBOX SETTINGS WHERE WE CAN VALIDATE ALL THE FOLDERS FOR PARTICULAR DAYS RATHER THEN DOING IT IN EVERY SINGLE FOLDER WE SHARE ONE OPTION FOR ALL THE FILES.8.5KViews19likes14CommentsCopy comments on files along with the files or folders.
I use Dropbox for my work portfolio, with separate folders to show different clients. I often need to copy entire folders and/or files to create a new folder for another client - but when I do this, the comments on each file do NOT transfer over when copied. This means I have to copy & paste each comment all over again, one by one, every single time I have to copy them for a new client. This is a huge, tedious waste of time & I'm considering using another platform instead of Dropbox for my work portfolio because of this. Please let me know if this is something Dropbox plans to add soon, thanks.4KViews8likes7CommentsAllow access to Dropbox Vault with Face Unlock / Face ID / Fingerprint Unlock / Biometric Unlock
I love the new Dropbox Vault feature, but one improvement that I think would be useful would be that when using Dropbox on your phone, allow an option to allow access to Dropbox Vault viaFace Unlock / Face ID / Fingerprint Unlock / Biometric Unlock on Android phones and and iPhones.3.6KViews11likes4CommentsDropbox mobile app: custom options for pass-code (pin)
Hi, You have probably been interrogated about this before. However, in today’s extra security conscious world, I can’t understand why we still only have a 4 digit PIN. It would please me greatly if I could specify my own PIN. Four digits just seems negligent. Sincerely Peace2KViews0likes4CommentsManage Stricter App Permissions
I use various third party apps that sync files to dropbox (or scan folders for things like media files). These apps have edit permission to my ENTIRE account, even though they really only need access to one folder. I want to be able to specify which folders I grant access to for an app. Giving full access is a terrible security practice - even if I trust the app developers not to abuse it, if their app is compromised, that doesn't matter. I realize that apps can request access to only a specific folder, but most do not do this. They ask for everything, because it's easier. As a user, I should be able to restrict what they're given when I grant access and accept the consequences of app instability if I take away something it wants. Even if apps apply bad security practices, DropBox has the power to enforce better ones, and should do so.1.3KViews2likes4CommentsDisplay requester's email address in File Request
I use File Request to help clients send sensitive information to me securely. To improve security and their confidence, it would be nice if they could verify that the File Request is going to me, not someone spoofing me. To do that, you could perhaps display the requester's email address on the File Request. This way, the file sender can easily see who will receive their file, and confirm it is the person they are trying to send it to.1.3KViews4likes4CommentsEmail validation to improve creation of new accounts
Hello, Dropbox team. I would like to recommend the implementation of an email validation system to block the creation of new accounts that use emails from an existing account, such as how Google works, where userany@gmail.com and user.any@gmail.com are actually from the same Google account. I would also recommend implementing an email validation system during account creation to check if an email really belong to the person trying to create an account on Dropbox. That would also resolve the issue above. Thanks and keep up the good work !958Views0likes6Comments
