Hi! I used to have a paid personal Dropbox account, until I outgrew the 3TB of storage space. I downgraded to a free Dropbox account and started storing my files with a different provider. As a renewal of my subscription with this other provider is coming up mid-June, I was wondering if you are planning on implementing larger personal plans in the future? Ideally I'd love a package that has somewhere between 6 to 8TB.
Switching to a professional account is not an option, because:
- I already use a professional account from the company I work for, you can only use 1 personal and 1 professional account in the Dropbox software at the same time, and I don't want to upload my personal files to my company's account
- a professional account requires several licenses (3, I believe), while I only need 1
Therefore, I would like to suggest to implement the option to purchase a larger personal plan with more storage space than the current 3TB (of course the plan with 3TB should still exist for users who don't need more than 3TB).

I would like for dropbox to have an individual plan of 1TB for $4.99 per month. I don't need more than that....and paying 9.99 and 2TB per month is way too much. I want dropbox to implement this now. call it: Payed Basic Plan and call the basic plan that is free the: Free plan

For those in this thread asking for an increase of paid options for solos, our voice is being lost in the requests for smaller plans. As we are at opposite ends of the issue, I have tried opening a new thread for voting here
Please add your voice if you want to see change from Dropbox. It's illogical for them to cap us the way they have when they could profit from it, and it should take little effort on their part.
We need to have the option to pay for a little more, without the nonsense of moving to a team plan (for an individual!)

Note: Please don't move this (again) into a thread dominated by people asking for cheap plans, we are premium customers and it is doing us a disservice
The ceiling on plan size for solos needs to be addressed. The only option for large data using individuals is to be forced onto the team plan. This makes no sense when you are a team of one.
Can anyone from dropbox actually hear us on this and do something?
Respectfully
Garrett

The existing minimum plan of approx' £120 per year billed monthly @ (£9.99) for 2 TB
I would be happy to pay half as i only really need 1TB.
and rather pay for an in-between choice of 1TB for £60 yearly billed monthly @ £5.00
and upgarde to 2Tb when i need it?
There is a huge jump form the free 15GB to 2TB why is there no in-between plans or any flexibility from Drop box after i offered to pay £60 per year for just 1TB they just refused? i wonder how many more dropbox users would prefer this choice of plan?

Sir/Madam:
I am Dropbox customer for the last 7 years. I started using 2 Gb and still using the same. I have only 500 to 600 GB data and need only 1 TB of storage. I am using 200 gb storage of Gdrive for the last 3 years. There are so many like me who love DropBox but can't afford to pay 2 TB price who has requirement of 500 GB. To my knowledge including me i know many of relatives and friends felt the same and we all using as mentioned above. I request you to provide 500 GB and 1 tb , so that people of all sorts will start using your service. This is my long awaited suggestion and thought of writing to you.

I am only using 3% i.e. 69GB out of my plan of 2TB. This makes me question wether it is worth the cost to use dropbox.
I suggest you also make Plans with less GB, f.eks 100GB, 500GB and 1TB and price them accordingly. This will get you more customers. - GarrettrExplorer | Level 4
Having posted and waited. And had my post just reassigned into a catch-all thread. I have a suggestion. What if dropbox staff read these ideas and interacted with us. Things might get done, we might actually feel you care, and... I might not be considering moving to a competitor right now.
What do you think dropbox how about a new years resolution to show a little care.
Otherwise you are a premium price service, with no service?
How can that work?

I've commented here before. Well, not quite here. My post got moved in here.
My request was for a higher plan with more storage for Solos, as there are others requesting here. Such as Gregmic-1 BernardoI MarkS
It's not the same as as 'can we have a cheap plan for light users'. Quite the opposite.
The only action by Dropbox, was moving the post into this one size fits all thread.
- there's no way to upvote other users comments
- there's no easy rapport with others in the thread
So, from wanting a bit more from Dropbox, now I'm getting pissed off with a product I've used and recommended for years. Way to go @dropbox
