Hi! I used to have a paid personal Dropbox account, until I outgrew the 3TB of storage space. I downgraded to a free Dropbox account and started storing my files with a different provider. As a renewal of my subscription with this other provider is coming up mid-June, I was wondering if you are planning on implementing larger personal plans in the future? Ideally I'd love a package that has somewhere between 6 to 8TB.
Switching to a professional account is not an option, because:
- I already use a professional account from the company I work for, you can only use 1 personal and 1 professional account in the Dropbox software at the same time, and I don't want to upload my personal files to my company's account
- a professional account requires several licenses (3, I believe), while I only need 1
Therefore, I would like to suggest to implement the option to purchase a larger personal plan with more storage space than the current 3TB (of course the plan with 3TB should still exist for users who don't need more than 3TB).

Hi! I am a 3d freelancer and I need large amounts of cloud storage. In am currently on the professional plan, but at some point I am going to need more than 3 gb of space. However I see that the only way to get more space is to get the team plan for minimum 3 people. It would be nice to have an option to just get more space, since I don't need the additional seats or team features. It's a quite steep price difference, since to get 2 tb of additional space I have to pay more than double the price of my current plan.

When can we expect to have bigger Dropbox plans for personal usage?
Now 3 TB is the maximum ("professional plan"), while Google offers nice plans for a while: 0.1 TB, 0.2 TB, 2 TB, 5 TB, 10 TB, 20 TB, 30 TB. There are also other, less known cloud providers with at least 5TB storage offers.
I think 5 TB or 10 TB is the bare minimum today on the market which should be offered, these are practical storages for anyone who deals with photos or videos on a personal level.
I am waiting for this upgraded plan for a while, because I prefer Dropbox interface over other providers. I chatted with Dropbox people, but even in that case nobody ever offered extra space base on a special agreement. If it does not happen, I will definitely move to another company. Which is sad, Dropbox is my favourite for a long time. But storing all my files in a single space is more important. - MNP-PHOTOExplorer | Level 3
Hello,
Can we please have more space for single users.
I'm a photographer and I use Dropbox for file delivery and archiving of clients images. I'm maxed out at 4TB and can only archive about 4 seasons of work. Would love to have the option of simply paying for more space.
Thanks,
Jeff

I`ve looked at every single plan on your site. Used dropbox for longer than i can remember and i love it.
I have a need for around 5-6 TB of storage online.
I just thought it strange i can't find anything for a single user over 3TB and i upgraded to 4TB and now i cannot go further
without more than doubling what i am already being charged and then some by upgrading to a multiple user team account.
Maybe something for you guys to consider. I was reluctant to move from dropbox as i find it super useful but now i will shop around for alternatives that i can't upgrade as needed. You will most likely be losing me a customer in the near future due to these constraints.
Furthermore are probably losing out on a huge solo worker market as files are huge these days and your 4TB plan isn't large enough at all for a solo worker using large files requiring extra storage without upselling people into multiple user plans they do not need,
Shame that something so simple hasn't been considered.
Im sure a lot of people would be willing to pay to upgrade per TB, (As i would have been also).
But making me upgrade to an unlimited package to only need 6TB is unreasonable, My payments would got from $40AUD per month to $140AUD.
Think about it.

It's absurd that the next level up from 3tb is PURCHASING TRIPLE THE COST OF YOUR CURRENT PLAN. I am a long standing single user freelancer and there is absolutely no reason for me to spend almost $900 a year on a minimum of 3 licenses for just myself. Seriously?? Dropbox is not the monopoly and I will be switching to Drive and cancelling my account as soon as my account storage is full. Focus your attention on your customers, not just your money.
- GarrettrExplorer | Level 4There’s a limit to how big a plan we can buy. At which point we need to buy a team plan. This is frankly ridiculous and terrible value if you are freelance or a solo operator. I’m at the edge of this and have added my last GB. No option but to leave dropbox now after being loyal from the beginning. (No, That doesn’t mean I’m open to being ripped off).
Come on dropbox. You keep offering more features like backup etc. Then provide the storage to match please.
Note: Please don’t merge this into a thread that is similar but different- I. E. people looking for more basic plans. It has nothing to do with that! Beyond frustrating that that has been done to my last idea. - drainuserExplorer | Level 3
Please add Dropbox plan options for INDIVIDUAL users over 3TB limit.
eg. Photographers, creators, musicians etc need more than 3TB, not just teams and large businesses.
This is offered by other cloud storage services such as Google Drive, SmugMug etc.
Would upgrade if available and priced competitively. Thanks.

with a max of 3TB and only the option to add 1TB and the next option being multiple seats (3x) I think Dropbox is not competitive for my needs. And I can't be alone in this.
Even Onedrive begins at 5TB. So after years of loyalty, come on Dropbox. Lets have the option of more storage.
Thank you
Garrett

I am a freelance professional and need more than 3TB of space and the ability to connect to various Teams in other companies. Create more tiers of storage for a single Professional user, including unlimited storage.
You are losing a huge segment of the market by limiting the storage that a single user can access. I have tried to get a lot of people I work with to use Dropbox, and they can't because of the limited storage space for a single user.
I will be forced to cancel my subscription soon if you do not start offering more storage.
