In the December app update, I discovered that Dropbox had added speed controls for 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x playback. As well as also very useful skip back/forwards 15 seconds within the app itself.
I'm a corporate user who has to regularly review audio files - so the added controls were an invaluable timesaver for me. I had to review around 40 hours of audio in December as an example.
However having updated the app again in the last 24 hours (to 312.2), I've discovered these controls have been removed. I've logged a ticket with support, however they have suggested I post it as an idea here ... for which I'd be interested to know if others also found this useful. Am aware this can work on desktop, but I find the best experience to listen to audio can be had whilst mobile and on the move.
It would be really helpful if those that also used it and liked this feature could support this idea so that hopefully the feature can be re-introduced.
Thanks for reading! Dan.

This is a great idea. It would also be helpful if we could adjust playback speed in videos as well.

Hello again. Delighted to have the speed control for audio playback back in the IOS app again. Thankyou to the dev team for reinstating it. It’s a massive time saver for reviewing large quantities of audio.

Thank you for your efforts in restoring the playback speed button to iOS for iPhones.
However, did I notice I don’t have the option to adjustment playback speed for my audio and video files on iOS for iPads. Will this issue be addressed soon?

Hi all,
I am delighted to share that these requested features are back on iOS for all mobile devices (phones and iPads) and are available for both audio and video files. You can now
- Adjust playback speed
- Skip forward / backward 15 seconds
- Loop playback of file
- View a thumbnail on the timeline to more accurately jump to a specific point in the file
- Airplay
Would love to hear if this has addressed the issues that you have experienced and I am all ears for additional feedback!

It's useful to be able to play MP3s faster at 1.25x, 1.5x and 2.0x as well as at normal 1.0x, but having only one 0.5x for slower playing is a bit restricting. Would you be able to add a 0.75x, or even make it adjustable? I have many MP3s of music files for people to learn from, and slowing it from standard 1.0x down to 0.5x is too big a jump.
Many thanks,
JohnF
PS: I'm new to this site: should I have created a "New" idea rather than adding it on to an existing one?

Thanks, Walter. And of course, ideally, it would be available on Desktop as well as mobile.
