Allow Users to Leave a Shared Dropbox Paper Document
Currently when a Dropbox Paper document is shared with you it's impossibe to remove yourself from it. Not only this, but all others that the document has been shared with can see your email address. This is a privacy leak.

Instead of Archive, one should simply be able to leave the document. A plain and simple, yet very useful feature it's missing.
Thank you

This relates to a long running thread on the community here.

This would be a great feature to unclutter your Dropbox Paper list of documents.

I accidentally moved a Paper doc into a folder. Didn't realize it was "shared" to me. Realizing my mistake, I tried to move it to another private folder, but was warned "26 people will gain access [to my private folder]". Whoa. Not an option, so I deleted the paper doc.
Next, tried to remove myself from the shared folder to avoid confusion...and... and... got to the ~3 year old thread asking for this feature. Seriously? What possible explanation could exist for this feature not existing already, or not even considered in all that time?

How is this still a thing? Come on Dropbox

This is a mind-bogglingly fundamental feature to just... not support???
Agreed. Come on, Dropbox. - WalterDropbox StaffStatus changed:Gathering SupporttoNot for right now
Thank you for your idea, while we can’t take every idea forward we do regularly re-review and will update you if anything changes!

This is shameful.

Not for right now? Took you over a year to arrive at this status and you’re going to blow it off? This is not okay. I dropped using Paper over this. At this point, you can just dump the tool.
