When sending a file through Dropbox Transfer, you get notified everytime a file will expire within 2 days. When you send all of your work to your clients through Dropbox Transfer, you get quite a lot of these e-mails and they start to clutter up your inbox.
It would be practical to have control over all notifications related to Dropbox Transfer in the settings.
Walter or other Dropbox representative, please give us a status on this feature request. We want to be able to turn off notifications being sent to our email addresses and the red notification icon that appears on the Dropbox icon every time someone downloads a transfer. The red notification icon blocks the Dropbox icon from show whether files are being synced which what I really want to know. Please implement this feature.
This is ridiculous. We stopped using Dropbox for transfers, because we can't handle the amount of email spam it generates.
We report the emails as spam using Office365 and in Gmail... Maybe if enough people do it, eventually they will be flagged and blocked serverside.Not sure why this isn't do-able. Every time a link is about to expire I get an email about it. It would also be good if there was an option for the file to automatically delete on expiry to free up space. Otherwise the expiry is kind of useless right?

shouldnt this take a dev like an hour to implement? It's been moaned about on various boards for over a year, makes no sense, is spammy and easily resolvable
awful that you can't do this. I made a rule in outlook to send all emails from "dropbox transfer" directly into the trash. An email when i make the transfer, an email when it's downloaded, and an email when it's about to expire, and an email if it didnt get downloaded - what the heck were they thinking?
I don't want to get an email when it's about to expire, when it's been downloaded, etc. I just want to send it and be done.

You can currently turn-off almost all types of notifications except for when someone downloads a file you've sent via Dropbox Transfer. So even though I have all notifications turned off, I still get a "number badge" on my Dropbox taskbar icon when someone downloads a transfer, and I have to click open the Dropbox pop-up menu to dismiss it. Could we please have the option to disable this notification like all the others? Thanks
