The only reason why Dropbox does not want anyone to be able to take control over sharing settings is that they want you to upgrade to the business plan for 19EUR/month. Then you can regain control over your sharing settings. Yes, this is outrageuos.
I have been on DropBox for years. First, they catch you with a free account. Then you hit the limits of that free account very very quickly, so they can make you a paying customer (obviously, the typical freemium price model).
But what Drop Box does is one step too much: They tease you, offer you 'great' stuff, tools, options, setting and then remove it in order to make you sign up for the next higher price model that then offers all of this stuff back to you again, like sharing settings. Something you already had!
Sorry, they are litteraly taking the p of their customers.
