Team member can't access team folders
I dont know where this question is supposed to go. Please excuse me if i am in the wrong place. I created a team and 2 team folders. I invited team members. One of them has accepted and shows on t...

To answer your question - yes, the missing member DOES show up as a member in the Team and the 2 groups.
Also, I have a solution to the problem as the result of a long painful chat with a very patient Dropbox helper.
Without fully understanding the problem, the solution that worked is to add the group to the team folder rather than to add the individual group members. This bypassed the conflict of some parts of Dropbox saying the user was a member of thegroups and some parts of Dropbox saying she was not a member of the groups. Whatever the cause of the problem, this got around it.
As much as I like Dropbox, it has been my experience that a lot of the stuff that is not just basic file handling is non-intuitive to say the least. I believe that Dropbox is being marketed for a lot of things it was not built for and there have been a lot of features added that are not gracefully integrated.
I will continue to use Dropbox but I would be a lot happier with better documentation and a more consistent and intuitive user. interface.
Thanks to everybody who helped.

Hi HAL900O, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Do you know if the team member has been given access to the team folder via the groups added to those folders?
This will help me to assist further!

Thank you again for reply, but...
Based upon your instruction to add this user to the group memberships , I did add the team member in question to the 2 groups to which I intended her to have access. I waited 24 hours for the change to propagate through the Dropbox system but the problem persists. She still cannot access either of the 2 groups to which I gave her member access through the admin dashboard. They both show up grayed-out. Other members added to the groups in the same manner are able to access these folders with no issue.

Also, I am not sure I fully understand your question. You ask whether I gave the member access to the Team folder via the Group folder. If I understand the procedure correctly, the process goes in the opposite direction - I must add the member to the Team folder first and only then can I use the Team folder (parent folder) to add the member to the group folder (child folder).
Am I mistaken?
Do you have any other suggestions?

Sorry to jump in here, HAL900O.
Does this member appear in the Group you added her to, if you check the group from your admin console?
