Folders not visible to Admins
We have outsourced the Team Admin role on our business account to a 3rd party. We want to see the totality of folders and subfolders etc. that have been created in our Dropbox Business Standard accou...
- 3 years agoI'm afraid that non-shared folders can only be accessed by the user that creates them.
There is a 'sign in as user' feature, with which an admin can sign in to a member's account, however, that's currently available to Dropbox Business Advanced plans.

Hey DN4, welcome to our Community and thanks for the question.
Indeed, if a team admin is not a member of a folder, they won't be able to see it in their 'all files' page.
They can be added to folders by others, or they can actually add themselves, from the 'content' tab in the admin console.
That's the place where they should be able to see all team folders in the account.
Let me know if you have any questions!

So, my Team Admin has told me your reply only applies to Team folders and Shared folders but does not apply to folders users have created themselves at the root level and have not been shared. If this is the case, how can we see what other root level folders have been created?

Just picking up on this. Is there an admin role (Team Admin?) that can see all folders that are on the account (even if not shared)? We are re-organising the DropBox folder structure and need to see every folder that exisits - otherwise we may miss folders that we wish to reorganise in a new structure. (This is for a Business Advanced sucbscription)
