Anti-Virus Scan Within Dropbox
Does Dropbox have back-ground or upload scanning mechanism for files. i.e. If a file got passed our anti-virus tool on the Desktop, would/does Dropbox scan the uploaded file for viruses?
Thanks
Steve

Maybe should have posted this to a different group?
Can this be moved to a more active group, or do I have reinput it all?

Thanks for posting in the Ideas section, azaries!
Out of curiosity, what’s your current type of plan?
I’m asking because, if you’re on a Business team, you may be interested in this Security add-on.
Let me know if you believe it’d help with what you want to achieve.

Hi Nancy,
Chatted online and confirmed that we had Advance, so automatically comes with the Security Add-on. I was searching for AV and missed this, so apologies.
I would still like to know what happens IF a malware file made it into Dropbox (maybe a brand new virus). Would all our Dropbox files get corrupted? What protections are there in Dropbox to stop infection of all our files?
Thank you
Steve

Hey azaries - sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that you can find out more information about this in this Help Center article.
I hope this helps a tad, Steve.

Would be interesting to know what antivirus products support online scanning of the Dropbox.
