How can I adjust whatever settings need to be adjusted, so that I have the option to click a Dropbox link and open the folder in Finder?
Has that ever been an option? Dropbox links have always opened in a browser because they're links to a website. To the best of my knowledge, you could never click a link and have it open in Explorer or Finder.
The option you highlighted in the Preferences wasn't for opening links in Finder vs. the website. It was for opening folders either in Finder or the Dropbox desktop app, which no longer exists.

Don’t know why this is marked as Solved. This is one of those features that I thought Dropbox supported and am disappointed every day to find out it doesn't.
In my opinion an absolute basic feature. Either there should be an option in the Finder to copy a direct link to the Dropbox file so that other team members can open it directly in the Finder and/or a button in the web interface: "Open file in Finder"

This is one of the most infuriating things about dropbox, as a team we're always sharing links to audio files via Slack - it's useless to me to open a file in a browser, i want to be able to open it in finder so we can edit it
