Mac Finder will not search Dropbox
When I do a search from the dropbox folder, it offers the option to search "this Mac" or "dropbox", but it will only respond to "this Mac" - I then get a search of all the hdd, including files in the...

Is there any work around to this? This has destroyed my workflow and I am considering now dumping my account. Why would they force me to go over to the evil Google or rely on the iffy syncing of our friends at Apple? This is awful.

Uninstall and revert to the old Dropbox version.
Then go to system preference, Spotlight > Privacy and delete and add the relevant folder to index the files again.

Hi Rich !
That should be fine. DropBox usually does not update itself too often to install any and every new Beta release. Most of these problems we are recently facing are due to the Beta versions being trialled for fixing Mac upgrade issues. Till OSX 11 there were no issues. Regular updates did not create any such chaos.
