How can I upgrade without installing the app?
I recently cancelled my Dropbox plan that gave me 2T of storage. I used DB to back up my mac laptop as well as house some external folders.
But I hated it. I desperately needed to get my laptop folder OFF Dropbox and disconnect from the platform as a back up. It took me 6 long weeks to disentangle my files
I still wanted to use Dropbox to house certain folders and files though - just not those on my machine. So I went to the free plan.
Now I have an alert from DB saying that I am out of storage with the free 2GB plan. I am happy to buy more storage space but I don't want to entangle my machine in the Dropbox Synching Universe again. I need to stay free from that.
So how can I buy more storage yet stay free from linking my machine?
Hi cristacrista, thanks for contacting us.
You can upgrade your Dropbox plan on the site or via the Dropbox mobile app.
You don't need to install the Dropbox desktop application, as the app is only optional for using Dropbox.
If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
