Dropbox on Samsung Tablet but can't edit MS Excel files

I have Dropbox installed on my Samsung A7 tablet and it is one of the devices I can sync with..  On this tablet I also have MS Excel installed... But when I access an xlsx file on Dropbox on the tablet, a I can see it but can't make any changes or save it back to dropbox.. Excel on tablet works fine updating and saving Excel files that are copied to, or created on the tablet.. Need to access / change and send updated file back to Dropbox.. Help or ideas appreciated.

    Hey Stgcmtj, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

     

    May I ask how many inches is your tablet exactly?

     

    For Android tablets with screens larger than 10.1", an Office 365 subscription is also required to edit Office files stored in Dropbox Basic, Plus, and Professional accounts.

      opps...10.4 inches...   Wish I could just buy a single subscriptiion for one tablet... but that is MS
