moving files directly to an external drive to save space
My free account is almost full and I'd like to pull some folders out of Dropbox and save them to an external drive, then delete the folder from Droppbox. Is there a way to do this? I may be just...

Hi captain-janeway, thanks for messaging the Community!
Do you have the Dropbox desktop application installed on your machine? This will allow you to easily drag the folder from Explorer/Finder onto your external drive, thus freeing up the space on your account.

I still have to download the folder to the PC then do a drag to the external drive.
It's an extra step but it's doable.
