I plugged in my Apple Passport and Dropbox started to back it up

I'm having the same issues and then when I plugged my backup Apple Passport to retrieve my photos, Dropbox started to back it up and then it added it to my Mac and I ran out of memory on a terabit - ugh....

Hey READINGDESIGN, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

It sounds like this has to do with our backup feature.

Would you mind clarifying if you're talking about a 'My Passport' external drive?

If that's the case and you enabled external drive backup for it, you can follow the steps here to disable it.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hannah, I just had the same issue. I don't want Passport backing up into my Dropbox. I received a notice as to that was what it was doing. I checked automatic backups and listed last back up as of January. Confused> why did I get a notice?

Oh man, I feel your frustration! I had the exact same issue with Dropbox backing up my Apple Passport. It's like a never-ending cycle, right? And running out of memory on a terabit? Ugh, that's a headache!
By the way, I'm currently in the process of renewing my documents too. It can be a bit of a hassle, but it's necessary. On a side note, I recently came across some websites that offer fake IDs. They might come in handy if you ever find yourself in need of an ID but don't have one. You can find more info here https://fakeidvendors.com. Just remember to use it responsibly and within legal boundaries.
