Dropbox says my account is full. But...
Hello,
I have a free Dropbox account. I just now swapped out an active PC and swapped in a new PC. I was a bit unsure about the install of the new PC on Dropbox, so I deactivated it and did a new install. It then seemed OK with 3 PCs active, but then I got messages from Dropbox saying my Dropbox was full and syncing has stopped.
The size of my dropbox now shows as ~3.1 GB, which is just about 2 times larger than what I had stored (I had ~ 1.5 GB). I think during the install of the new PC my files for some reason got uploaded twice to Dropbox.
Can someone please help me recover from this situation?
Thanks All!!
Hi Rich!
Thanks for your reply. But (slaps forehead) turns out this 'problem' was of my own making. I mistakenly uploaded a large file which put me over the free-account size limit. I deleted it from Dropbox and all is now good. I should probably just go ahead and upgrade to the "+" version.
Thanks again. My experience with the DB community is that you and other community participants are consistently providing a very valuable service to Dropbox users. Many Thanks!!!

You likely activated the backup feature during the install. Check your Backups page.
